Challenge

So I've been talking to a friend over the last little while about life. For some reason he really only comes over to watch TV or when he does come over we watch TV. I just realized how sad that is, perhaps we watch too much TV. I never really thought we did, I maybe still don't. But he challenged me to thinking about it. He also asked if I could go one month without watching TV. That excluded missing the office and hockey games. So I think I'm going to try that. I don't think it will be that hard, because I don't think I watch that much. But I think it'll be good for my mind and then I'll do school work instead. So starting today Nov.18th I'm going to stop watching TV (except office and hockey games) and movies (except the one I signed up for at the old folks home). That sounds so dumb to have exceptions on it, but I have to.
The second thing this friend asked me was : what defines me? Who/What defines who I am in my life. I was blank. I find that a pretty deep question, and I have to think about it. I'm still thinking about it and probably will be all day. Because you can make a huge list of little things that define you, but really it's the big things that I want to think of. Does that make sense? Anywho...that's just what's been on my mind lately. Busy day ahead of me and I need to wake matty. Sorry about any spelling and grammar errors. I don't believe in using spell check or anything else on blogs.
cheers

Hey couz
I once read this book and it was really good. It was about challenges and stuff. One part of it was to not use msn, listen to the radio, and watch tv. No exceptions. It was super hard. BUt really beneficial. Try this steph... When you are tempted to watch tv, go read your bible or something like that. About the other question. I don't think you have to have an answer. It is a really deep question but really what defines you is always changing. (not meaning the core values change like God and family and such ya know) I think it takes some people a whole life to figure out who they are. But I encourage you on your endevors!! I love you lots and Like hangin out with you a whole lot as well!! Ciao

Spellchecking is for chumps.

I wanted that to be the title of my response. Are you allowed to title comments? Perhaps I have opened a can of worms.

First off, mad props on a wicked post. I don't really check the blogging world much anymore since Tones died. Was fascinated by the question of "What defines you?".

As for TV. I know you watch a lot of TV, because I as well am a tube addict. The mention of you guys getting a new TV in the spring brought up the talk of your family appreciating it more than most, because you guys do watch a lot. There are many reasons you shouldn't watch TV, but I don't think any of them are worth considering if you enjoy it. A month won't be hard to do if you're able to watch movies, but maybe I read that wrong and you've cut those as well, except for Hardesty or whatever.

This was dumb. So I refuse to put my name. Though I'm sure you can figure it out.

I actually can't tell who you are anonymous. Let me know, because I didn't know we were thinking of getting a new TV.
